One Month Old

I am taking this brief moment of freedom to catch everyone up on our new life with Brady. He rarely sleeps during the day so I am unable to do much else than play with him all day. Not too bad of a job though! Brady is one month old today. I can't believe he has already been with us for a month. It still seems like yesterday that he was born. He is slowly getting better at sleeping during the night (even though last night was rough). I don't know how women work and care for a newborn. More power to them!

Brady is so much fun. He makes tons of facial expressions and frowns at you just like his daddy. He will probably need botox by the time he is five because he is quickly developing a frown line. Hopefully soon he will realize he is having fun and smile instead of frown. Even though the frown is pretty cute too! His favorite things to do are to lay on the changing table and lay on his daddy's chest. Those two places are where he is happiest. He isn't quite into the swing yet but we try it out everyday for about 20 minutes. He can already hold his head up and look right into your eyes. He can also follow objects when you move them around in front of his face. Now I am working on getting him to grab objects. He will grab my fingers but not a toy yet.

Today he had his one month checkup and he now weighs 9 lbs. 6 oz. He has gone up 2 lbs. since he was born. He is a little piggy though. He fusses after every feeding because he wants more food but the pediatrician said 4 oz. per feeding is his limit for right now. The funny thing is though that he is so long that he still looks really thin. I can't believe that as short as me and Austin are that we have a long baby. Go figure! Maybe he hit the genetic lottery and will be tall. He had another vaccination today which was sad because after the nurse stuck him the needle he screamed for a couple seconds. Fortunately he got over it quickly, but it broke my heart. Sorry I haven't added more pictures yet but I haven't found the time. I will get there soon.
