July 4th Weekend

This July 4th was a little different than our usual ones. Typically, we all go to the lakehouse at Possum Kingdom for about 4 days. My dad will buy way too many fireworks and the boys all shoot them off on Saturday night. We eat way too much food and spend the whole weekend in the lake, on the boat, or on the jet skiis. This year my grandmother went into the hospital with heart problems so we all decided to stay in Arlington to be near her. My brother and sister-in-law drove up from San Antonio to be with us as well. We still had a blast. We still ate way too much food and played lots of card games. Since I had bought Brady an American flag swimsuit I had to get him into water somehow. We decided to finally blow up his little pool and let him go for a dip. At first he was confused as to what he was doing, but before long he was kicking his legs and splashing with his hands. It was so cute. I knew he would love it because he absolutely loves bathtime (bathtime pictures coming soon).

He was laying back and relaxing in the water.

My brother pulled out Austin's guitar and started playing songs and singing to Brady and he absolutely loved it. He couldn't even finish his bottle because he was so enthralled by the music. Waylon was playing "Free Falling" which apparently Brady loves. It was a special moment because growing up in my house Waylon was always playing his guitar and now he is playing for my son. Too sweet!
