Brady turned 8 months old last week. His 1st Birthday is creeping up on us quickly. Fortunately it still seems far away since we have to get through the holidays first. But I know it will be here before we know it. He is growing up way too fast! He went to the doctor last week because he has a virus (no not swine flu) and they weighed him. He now weighs 21 lbs. 12 oz. I was surprised and yet not surprised. I expected him to weigh more because at his 6 month checkup he weighed 20 lbs. 8 oz. and usually he would have gained alot more than 1 pound in two months, but I knew he looked like he hadn't gained much. Maybe his growth is starting to level out now and he won't end up being some kind of giant. When I have him out with me everyone always asks me if my husband is real tall. I just laugh because my husband is 5'7. I will be glad when he starts to look like our child so we don't get so many questions:).
Brady is still clapping like a maniac. He will now do it when you do it which is so cute. He learned how to wave about 3 weeks ago. He only waves randomly right now like at the dog or the floor. He loves to stand up. Sitting is usually not an option when we are playing on the floor. He wants to stand and hold on to something. He gets very bored easily so we are constantly moving around the house to entertain him. He pretty much eats anything I put in his mouth. He is not picky. He has things he likes better than others but usually he eats whatever I give him. He smiles ALL the time. At anyone or anything. He is such a happy go lucky boy. He has been laughing for a while now but he typically only did it when Austin was playing with him. This week however he started giggling over random things. Just while he was playing or if he saw something funny. I love it because his giggle is adorable.
A day in the life of Brady:
7am - Wakeup with Daddy and take a bottle
8am - Mommy gets up while Daddy goes to work and Brady watches Baby Einstein while Mommy gets ready
8:30am to 9:30am - Nap
9:30am - Play with Mommy
10am - Bottle and Breakfast
10:30am - Play, Play and more Play
1pm - Bottle and Lunch
2:30pm to 4ish - Nap
4pm - Bottle and Dinner
4:30pm - Play until Daddy comes home and then play more with Daddy
7pm - Bathtime, Bottle, Bedtime
7:30pm - Mommy and Daddy crash on the couch!
It is funny as I am writing this because he pretty much sticks very closely to this routine all through the week. He is just as routine as his OCD Mommy. We like schedules. He is so easy going that he just goes with the flow and follows Mommy's lead. I love it. I wonder how long that will last? Here are some cute pictures from the past month. Enjoy!
