First Trip to the Zoo

On Friday we went to the zoo. Austin took off work and my brother came with us while his wife was at a continuing education class for speech pathology in Dallas. We had a blast. It was Brady's first time at the zoo and he did great. He didn't fuss once. He didn't really want to be in the stroller at all but who can blame him? He couldn't see a darn thing unless we lifted him up to see. It was perfect weather so we didn't get too hot. It was pretty crowded because there were alot of field trips to the zoo that day. There were children everywhere. We had to be patient to see the animals but overall it was a marvelous day.
Brady, Austin and my brother Waylon checking out the animals.

Brady got so excited when he would see the animals. Some were harder to see than others, but he would point and talk when he saw one he liked.

My two sweet boys.

Uncle Waylon hauling the jogging stroller up the stairs. What a great Uncle!

Daddy and Brady went into the bird area and Brady loved it. He is always pointing out birds in the sky and they seem to be his favorite animal, besides dogs, right now. It was neat because they were able to get really close up to the birds.

I was hoping Brady would get inspiration from this lion and take a really good nap when we got home. It worked!!!

I love this picture. Brady is admiring his Daddy. Too cute!

How funny is it to see a giraffe trying to eat something off the ground? I had to get a picture.

Here they are watching the giraffes.

Daddy gave up his hat because it got really sunny and Brady's cheeks were turning red. Still no sunburn though. I can't believe with his pale German skin he still has yet to sunburn. And I'm not even that great about doing sunscreen. He did have it on that day though.

This monkey cracks me up. Doesn't it look like he is lighting up a cigarette? Some kids watching him said, "Look mommy the monkey is smoking." I laughed so hard. Fortunately Brady was too young to know so I didn't have to go into the dangers of smoking with him. :) I don't know what the monkey had. Hopefully not a real cigarette.

My boys checking out the animals. I don't know who had more fun, Daddy or Brady? They are definately animal lovers. It's adorable!
