Thanksgiving Weekend

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We ate tons of food, spent quality time with family and tried to keep our very sick boy happy. He did great even though I think he has strep or RSV. I'm taking him to the doctor on Monday to find out what's going on. So Thursday Brady did fine. He ate a little turkey and ran around my aunt's house exploring everything. That night we slept over at my parent's house to spend more time with my brother and his wife. Around midnight Brady woke up and was awake for 3 hours. It was around 3am that we decided to pack up and head home to see if he would sleep in his own bed. He went right to sleep. He slept until 10am the next morning. We thought this would help him feel better, but Friday was a nightmare. We went to the ICE show at the Gaylord Texan and it was downhill from the moment we got there.
First of all, we had to wait in line for about 1 1/2 hours. Even though you buy tickets for a specific time, you still have to wait in line to go in. Brady did okay during this long wait. Then, when you think you are going to start the tour, they have you go in and watch a movie about the making of the ICE show. This is when the melting down began. After the movie, you go wait in another line to get your picture taken, then you wait in yet another line to finally go in to see the ICE. At this point you put on your big coats and wait your turn. Brady started screaming and crying because he didn't feel good, he was tired of waiting and he hated having on a huge coat. It was a total disaster. Totally not worth $25 a person. The actual ICE show was like a 5 minute walk. It was nothing. Don't do it people!!!
Today we had lunch with my family and said goodbye to my brother and sister-in-law. Thanksgiving was great but would have been better with a healthy child. There's always next year! :)
This is the beginning of our adventure. He's all smiles!

My brother Waylon and his wife Carolyn.

My sweet parents during the grandparent thing.

It was hard to enjoy the show with a screaming child but it had some cool things about it.

Saying "cheese!"

Checking out daddy's gloves.

Cool parkas Uncle Waylon and Aunt Carolyn.

He found a TV playing Charlie Brown and it distracted him for a few moments.

The show begins.

His face says it all here.

Pretty cute!

We're pretending to look like we're having fun here. Do you believe it?

This picture is priceless because we all needed to see a therapist after this adventure.
